Over 14 years of renovations completed across NYC and Long Island
Family-run, LEED-accredited leadership
As partners in life and in business, Motti and Elyse Berco have built Beem into more than a design and build firm. It is a family endeavor. Their five children are their greatest inspiration, and the values of trust, honesty, and creativity that guide their family life are the same values they bring to every home they transform.

Motti's path to design and construction is as eclectic as it is accomplished. From managing high-rise buildings and designing luxury apartments, to working internationally as a private investigator, his career has always revolved around detail, precision, and people. In 2001, he launched his first construction company, with his work quickly featured in The New York Times. In 2011, alongside Elyse, he founded Beem, uniting his passion for design, craftsmanship, and service.
Motti is known not just for his eye for detail, but also for his generosity. Whether he is crafting custom cabinetry, cooking for a crowd, or stopping to help a stranger in need, he brings warmth and humanity to everything he does. His adventurous spirit as a skydiver, avid traveler, chef, and gardener shapes his approach to life and design.

Elyse grew up immersed in design. Raised in a family of renovators, engineers, and architects, she learned early how the built environment shapes how people live and feel. A trained dancer and graduate of Rutgers and Pratt Institute, Elyse's studies in movement and psychology deepened her understanding of how people experience space. She brings this unique perspective to Beem, where design is never just about finishes but about creating homes that feel truly lived in and alive.
Elyse balances elegance with empathy, helping clients navigate the renovation process with clarity and care. She is also the go-to for discovering the best neighborhood spots in NYC, blending her curiosity, warmth, and love of community into her design philosophy.
